Former Executive Director Dean Sather tells the history of a massive Viking ship housed inside Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center in the Fargo-Moorhead area. The ship was handcrafted by Robert Asp and his family beginning in 1971 and then sailed from the United States to Norway in 1984. I bet he was hungry for some lutefisk after such a long trip.

Thanks for posting this. Bob Asp's son, Roger, had done the photos for my sister's wedding; so when I learned about this ship I had the opportunity to see the work in progress.
