    Garbage burner beautification draws jeers, cheers from Hennepin commissioners

    In case you missed this story, the Hennepin County garbage burner, located by the new Twins baseball stadium, is set to receive a $2 million makeover, with around $700,000 of that going toward landscaping for the facility.

    Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson thinks spending that kind of money for landscaping is just "crazy" at a time when the state faces a big budget deficit. Another Hennepin County Commissioner, Mark Stenglein, says that after 20 years the facility is long overdue for improvements.
