The Hmongtown Marketplace — which appears to be also known as the International Marketplace, located at Como Avenue and Marion Street in Saint Paul — is a rare year-round indoor and outdoor marketplace with over more than 200 food and merchandise vendors. Visitors can also find medicinal herbs, DVDs of water-buffalo fights, and fresh tropical produce they may have never heard of before. Considering that the Hmong make up the largest Asian group in the state, there aren't many places serving this sort of Hmong food.
Expect the market to be crowded on the weekends with a bit more room for exploring on the weekdays.
