The Gophers have one, the Twins have one, and now the Vikings want one. And thanks to their first win of the season over the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday fans may be a bit more supportive of the idea for a new stadium.
MinnPost's Jay Weiner had a chance to sit down with Minnesota Viking's vice president for public affairs and stadium development, Lester Bagley, at the Minnesota State Fair. They talked about proposed plans to build a new public-use multivenue stadium on the current site of the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The big issue is figuring out who will be able to foot the bill for this expensive project.
The Vikings' lease at the Dome expires after the 2011 season.
