    Profile of a famous polar explorer against global warming

    With 40,000 miles traveled and counting, Will Steger has led expeditions by dogsled, kayak and on foot in some of the most inhospitable places on the planet in the Artic and Antarctic regions. Over the past 40 years, Steger said he has seen firsthand the effects of global warming on the poles. He now leads groups of students who want to preserve the icey wilderness from warming as much as he does.

    Bob Dotson of NBC's "Today Show" visits the Steger homestead in Ely, Minn., to profile this traveler turned teacher.
