    Students share cultures, ideas through extreme distance learning

    Students at Hamline University in St. Paul have an opportunity to share their classroom with with students thousands of miles away in Senegal, West Africa. With the help of video conference technology, professors from Universite Gaston-Berger and Hamline University are co-teaching a class on globalization and multiculturalism. Students and teachers from both schools are able to connect in "real-time" to hold group discussions and present projects with their overseas counterparts.
     
    Students from both sides say the diverse perspectives have led to rewarding debates and exchanges on an academic level.
