    State lawmakers band together to call for creation of clean-energy jobs bill

    Eighty-one Minnesota legislators out of more than a thousand nationwide will urge President Barack Obama and others in Congress to take quick action to pass legislation to create more clean-energy jobs. They will seek to create jobs domestically to manufacture renewable energy technology in an effort to  reduce spending on foreign produced energy.

    Reps. Jeremy Kalin,DFL-North Branch; Sen. Ellen Anderson, DFL-St. Paul; and Rep. Kate Knuth, DFL-New Brighton, announced the plan they will present to Congress for approval during a press conference Monday.
