    Students receive an urban agriculture education

    With Minnesota celebrating Agriculture Week, Department of Agriculture Commissioner Gene Hugoson decided to pay a visit Monday to the the urban agriculture class at Humboldt High School in St. Paul.

    The new program gives 90 students in the Intro to Agriculture class a chance to learn about such topics as plant and animal production, natural resources, food science, animal care and leadership. Many of these city kids have never been on a farm but now have the chance to experience such things as butter-making.
