The University of Minnesota seems to be about three years away from developing a hoverboard. The video gets good at about 1:15.

Hope that someone recognizes the importance of this concept. No pun intended but I remember playing around with these kinds of ideas as a kid in the 1950s. Tesala was a genius. The contraption I built was out of a book from the local library. Just followed the recipe. Here`s where government can step in and play a larger role with stimulus money as long as the yapping carppers develop a sense of delayed gradification there will be a beautiful outcome.
