Former Minnesota GOP legislator Lynne Osterman garnered national attention for her testimony before the House Civil Law Committee on Tuesday arguing in favor of legal same-sex marriage in Minnesota, appearing Wednesday night on MSNBC’s “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” Osterman voted in favor of the current ban during her 2002–2004 term, a vote she has come to regret.
