This year, MinnPost is partnering with the Bush Foundation, InCommons and the State Fair for a day of newsmaker interviews, entertainment and the Minnesota Community Pride Showcase. Below is the full schedule.
MinnPost events that day will feature a "supersized," four-part "MinnPost Asks" interview series featuring:
• New MnSCU Chancellor Steven Rosenstone
• 5th District Congressman Keith Ellison
• A panel discussion on "The Future of the News"
• A youth panel moderated by MinnPost's Joe Kimball

Pre-opening events

9 a.m.
"Give & Take" interactive activities with Works Progress. The public art and design studio creates artworks, exhibitions and public programs meant to "inspire, inform and connect" people across creative and cultural boundaries.
Ongoing events
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Table Talks" interactive activities with Works Progress. Shanai Matteson and Colin Kloecker will design and make four tables featuring such elements as chalkboard table tops, games and conversation starters.
Daylong
Community Pride Showcase tent, featuring winning entrants in collaborative projects.

Opening Remarks from MinnPost's Roxane Battle and InCommons-Bush Foundation.

Entertainment by J.D. Steele and the MacPhail Community Youth Choir.

"MinnPost Asks" newsmaker interview with Steven Rosenstone, new chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU). He'll be interviewed by MnnPost "Learning Curve" writer Beth Hawkins.

Noon
"MinnPost Asks" newsmaker interview with 5th District Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison. He will be interviewed by MinnPost Washington Correspondent Devin Henry.

"MinnPost Asks" newsmaker panel on "The Future of the News," moderated by MinnPost CEO/Editor Joel Kramer. Panelists will be MinnPost's David Brauer and Nora Paul, director of the Institute for New Media Studies at the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
