    MinnRoast 2009 is now history!

More than 600 news junkies and newsmakers showed up at the Hilton Minneapolis on Wednesday, April 29 to eat, drink and make merry... and make money to keep serious journalism alive in Minnesota. MinnRoast was sold out for the second straight year. Whether or not you were able to attend, you're invited to help us match two $10,000 grants by June 9. Details below. We'll see you next year!

Take the 2009 MinnRoast Challenge – and help MinnPost earn TWO $10,000 matches in the next 40 days!

The news industry is in unprecedented crisis. Media companies are downsizing, declaring bankruptcy, or closing their doors. Once-vibrant Minnesota newspapers are dramatically cutting staff and space devoted to news. MinnPost is one of only two Minnesota news organizations with a reporter in Washington D.C.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring. But you can help keep serious journalism alive in Minnesota by supporting the wave of the future — MinnPost.com. Click here to donate today!

All donations received by June 9, 2009 will be matched. BrauBlog donations of $10 or $25 will be matched by the New York-based Harnisch Foundation. General donations in the amount of your choice will be matched by a local donor who wants to remain anonymous. Mail checks to MinnPost, 900 Sixth Ave SE, #220, Mpls 55414, or give online. Thanks for your support!

Thank you to everyone who made MinnRoast 2009 a reality!
