    A stimulating Aquatennial: Is the sandcastle competition a shovel-ready project?

    The Minneapolis Aquatennial enters its 70th year this weekend with milk carton races, sandcastle competitions, water ski shows and torchlight parades. Thousands of steadfast Minnesotans are expected to join in the fun despite the tough economic times.

    MinnPost followers on Twitter, resourceful folk that you are, in 140 characters, tweet your idea for how to turn a favorite Aquatennial activity into an economic stimulus. Be sure to include #mp140 in your tweet.

    My suggestion: Unemployed Twin Citians create Torchlight Parade floats displaying their work history, toss resumes from the float to potential employers.
