Coleman-Franken trial: Lights, cameras, action
By Jay Weiner | 01/21/09
A Minnesota Courts information officer just confirmed that the three-judge panel will allow live broadcast coverage in the courtroom for today’s 2:30 p.m. Senate election contest pre-trial hearing -- and for the trial itself, set to start Monday.
WCCO (Channel 4) has agreed to be the pool organization for live video coverage, Associated Press will have the still camera, and Minnesota Public Radio will record the sound of the proceedings.
Check back at MinnPost at 2:30 p.m. today to watch the hearing, with live coverage streamed by The UpTake.
