Duluth airport improvements on legislative wish list

Duluth officials will ask the state for $4.9 million to help pay for a new airport building, but some, including the editorial writers at the Duluth News Tribune, wonder about the timing.
Sure, a new terminal may be needed, and the feds will pay more than half. Construction jobs will help the region, and the airport is an economic engine.
But this year? The Legislature may have other priorities. Still, the paper says, it doesn't hurt to ask.
