Congressman Keith Ellison said he'll  be busy next week in his Minneapolis district as Congress continues its Easter/Passover recess.

On Monday, he'll speak at the New Hope City Council about how cities in Minnesota can apply for economic recovery funds for local projects. He'll do the same thing at Tuesday's Richfield City Council meeting.

Also Tuesday, he'll speak at two rallies for the rights of immigrant communities: at noon at the Midtown Global Market, hosted by Jewish Community Action, and at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church in Minneapolis, hosted by the church and ISAIAH.

At noon on Wednesday, he'll speak to U of M students at the Cowles Auditorium in the Humphrey Center about why he supports the Employee Free Choice Act.

At 3 p.m. April 20, he'll  speak at the HIRE Minnesota rally on the steps of the State Capitol about the need to create green collar jobs.
