Minneapolis adds more high-tech with Twitter and RSS

If you'd like more breaking news and updates from the city of Minneapolis, there are two new options: Twitter and RSS feeds.

The city now has a profile on Twitter, the popular social network that city communicators will use to alert “followers” about breaking news, announcements, events, road closures and programs sponsored by the city.

The city also has added two RSS feeds (one for the city, one for Mayor R.T. Rybak) to its website that people can use to stay informed about city news and events without having to revisit the city’s website.

Next up? Maybe Mayor Rybak will come to your home each morning, make breakfast and give you personal updates.
