The Minnesota Independent publishes a Twitter report from Matt Hill that Al Franken and Norm Coleman were on the same flight to Washington, D.C., yesterday.
First report, yesterday morning:
"Late arrival History Day scholars had BOTH Franken and Coleman on their flight to DC yesterday. Tense flight... Any ideas?"
And later:
"More details from late MN History Day flight to DC w/ Franken &Coleman. Franken was in coach, Coleman was in first..."
Apparently a group from Minnesota headed for the History Day competition was on the flight. Hill is on the History Day staff with the Minnesota Historical Society; it appears from his earlier tweets that Hill was in D.C. already, and heard reports of the Coleman/Franken flight from others arriving later.

Interesting. Coleman requesting mega-bucks from National Rupub's, owes Franken $90k + for legal fees, can still afford first class? You know, sometimes, even if you can, perhaps you shouldn't.
I think that the seating assignments of the two Sentorial gladiato...err, that's candidates says everthing about this race. Mr. Coleman wants to be re-elected simply to stay in first class. Mr. Franken wants to get to the Senate to help the oridinary working stiff, and his taking coach when he had no reason to think anyone was watching says more about the honesty, integrity and priorities of these two individuals, and what they would do in the Senate, than any formal debate or dirty campaign ad.
Mr. Coleman, your days in first class are over. You are going to have to take out your own trash, drive your own Lexus, and realize that you lost fair and square to someone who is showing himself to be a serious man and showing himself to have a concept of equailty and ethics that evades you and most of your party. You are not entitled to rule. The people, however closely, rejected you job performance of the last 6 years for someone who might actually care about THEM. Concede already, and save whatver vestige of self respect and reputation that you have.
