New Hiawatha light rail station at 34th Avenue opening
By Joe Kimball | 12/09/09
A new light rail station on the Hiawatha line will open Saturday at 34th Avenue in Bloomington.
It's called the American Boulevard Station and is just south of Interstate 494/Highway 5. Officials say it will anchor a major transit-oriented development project envisioned by the City of Bloomington.
It's the 19th station on the line that connects Bloomington and downtown Minneapolis.
