New Pawlenty video talks about his roots, then launches into political pitch

Gov. Tim Pawlenty has a new 3-minute video — a combination bio/political pitch — on his "Freedom First" PAC website. He calls it "History Is on Our Side."

He talks about playing hockey and growing up in South St. Paul and then melds into his regular campaign themes on freedom and the American Way. There are images of Ronald Reagan and the D-Day landing at the end.

No overt mention of running for president, but the video's underlying message is clear: "I'm White House material."
