Isn't this the same Coleman who was involved in two lawsuits, filed in Delaware and in Texas, and which also named Coleman's wife Laurie, Jim Hayes, Laurie's employer, and Nasser Kazeminy, an Iranian-born millionaire?
Didn't both suits claim that Sen. Coleman accepted approximately $75,000 from Kazeminy in a payment scheme that funneled the money through Kazeminy's Houston-based Deep Marine Technologies and into the coffers of Coleman's wife's employer?
I guess they must have noticed, that with the recent news on Mike Steele's slip-shod bookkeeping, it will probably be a good fit for both Coleman and the RNC
Whether we like it or not, party chairmanship may be more to Mr. Coleman's temperament and talent.
He was a useful attack dog for the Bush administration in those heady days when they were maligning and accusing certain UN officials of corruption. Mr. Coleman was chairman of a Senate committee that was leading that charge. However, the motives and gains of that effort remain questionable to this day. Strangely, Senator Coleman never investigated possible malfeasance in [Bush's] Defense department's questionable ties with contractors like Haliburton.
To wrap this up ... if Mr.Coleman does eventually attain the post of NRC chairman, the rogue's gallery of that party will remain in tact.
