Those running the DFL booth at the State Fair know it's important to engage fair-goers with interactive games, so they've launched a bean bag toss game that lets partisans take some figurative shots at Tom Emmer, the Republican candidate for governor.
They're playing off reasons they say Emmer has given for missing votes in the Legislature and for not presenting a detailed budget-balancing plan.
It's called "Emmer's Excuses," and players try to throw bean bags into holes marked: Midnight Softball Game; Went out to Lunch; Can't Be Here All Day; Stepped Out for a Cookie; Had a Fundraiser; and Business at Law Firm."

Et tu DFL?
All fun and games and it is 'Fair time' you say?
I'm headed for the cattle barn...check out a Guernsey...no more bull.
I think, when you're looking to appeal to children, to use fun games as an attraction.
Great job DFL!
I lean toward Dayton...but after those political not-so-Fair silly games played out at their individual booths, why not add another booth embracing all three etc...one booth called "DUNK THE FUTURE GOV". Who dunks the most or who stays afloat, take your pick...whatever outcome seems more 'democratic'?
Seriously I'm probably voting for Dayton's two survivor dogs...German Sheps tend to be more intelligent than their companion human...
I 'll vote for them , yes sir...
