Horner confidently plans Wednesday press conference to look ahead to November election
Tom Horner, the endorsed Independence Party candidate for governor, must be feeling pretty confident on Election Day:
He's scheduled a Wednesday morning press conference to "discuss the results of Tuesday's primary election and look ahead to the fall general election campaign."
Lightly funded IP challenger Rob Hahn has been nipping at Horner's heels with offbeat ads and continual challenges for Horner to reveal his former public relations client list.
And there's been some speculation about election games that conceivably would have some Republican voters crossing over into the Independence primary to vote for Hahn, figuring Horner might take votes away from Republican candidate Tom Emmer in the Nov. 2 general election.
But most observers figure Horner will win handily, and we're expecting him to be available tonight after the results are in to comment on the upcoming campaign.
Still, Horner's press conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the State Office Building.

November, when Horner will probably determine which major party candidate wins.
