A Coleman/Franken-style recount this time? Not likely, says FairVote group
By Jay Weiner | 11/02/10
An interesting piece in the Washington Independent today.
It suggests an Al Franken/Norm Coleman-like recount should not be expected this cycle.
In talking with FairVote leaders, the Washington Indy reveals that a "meaningful statewide recount took place once out of every 262 statewide elections in the 10 years of elections from 2000 to 2009: 11 out of 2,884 races."
That's consistent, the story says, with one Minnesota-like recount, every decade.
But let's see how the night turns out.
