In response to concerns from the State Canvassing Board, Rep. Tom Emmer's legal team continues to withdraw frivolous challenges in the governor's recount.
Today, all 422 challenges from Renville County were withdrawn; GOP operatives had instructed table reps in that county to challenge any balllots with write-in votes. But there was a school board election there that required write-ins.
In addition all but one of the 160 frivolous challenges in Dakota County were withdrawn.
The Emmer and Mark Dayton campaigns have a noon deadline to clarify their "regular" non- frivolous challenges. Dayton withdrew his 43 frivolous challenges last week.
