Dayton attends memorial for fallen Maplewood Marine
By Joe Kimball | 07/07/11
This afternoon Gov. Mark Dayton is attending a private memorial ceremony for Marine Sgt. Chad Frokjer of Maplewood, who was killed in Afghanistan June 30.
Frokjer was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Frokjer will be buried Saturday, so Dayton has ordered all U.S. and Minnesota flags to fly at half-staff at state and federal buildings in Minnesota that day.
