Carrie Lucking, the director of public affairs for the state House DFL Caucus, is taking a new job as executive director of the Alliance for a Better Minnesota.

The Alliance is a progressive nonprofit that says it “educates the public about the negative effects of certain policies, politicians and organizations on their quality of life using earned, paid and new media techniques.”

The current director, Denise Cardinal, said she’ll be “staying with ABM in a new role as Founding Director, focusing my time on the message development and research needed for 2012 and beyond.”

Before joining the House DFL caucus about a year ago, Lucking had been communications director for Tarryl Clark’s congressional run against Michele Bachmann and, before that, was communications director for Paul Thissen’s gubernatorial campaign.

  1. It certainly looks like Carrie has the background and experience in order to continue the negative campaign policies of the “alliance for a bitter MN.”

Congratulations and keep up the good work, Carrie.

The right really hates this organization, Mr. Gotzman. Mitchell P. Berg even has a sock puppet account – ABitterMN – which tries to do them mischief. So sad.
