A phone line that helps Minnesota seniors get answers about health insurance and government-related issues has served 30,000 people in the past six months, Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon's office said.
The toll-free number is 1-800-333-2433 for the Senior LinkAge Line: A One Stop Shop for Minnesota Seniors Line. Questions also can be answered online at the MinnesotaHelp site.
The free service is operated by the Minnesota Board on Aging.
Later this year, the help line will offer information to seniors about employment and volunteer opportunities.
