Newly elected state Senate Majority Leader David Senjem plans to continue as chair of the Senate Capital Investment Committee, the committee's vice chair has told the St. Cloud Times.
The committee oversees the bonding bill.
The paper said the committee vice chair, Republican Sen. John Pederson of St. Cloud, said Senjem asked him to take on “a more active role” on the committee because Senjem will be juggling the committee role and the majority leader post. “I’ll fill in and take on some workload there, wherever he may need me to be,” Pederson said.
A Senjem aide said she couldn't confirm the plan.
