Former Congressman Rick Nolan has picked up the Teamsters endorsement in his bid to get the DFL nomination to run against incumbent Republican Chip Cravaack in the 8th Congressional District race.
Sue Mauren, Teamsters Joint Council 32 President, said in a statement: "We believe that our members will make the difference and take this election seriously enough to campaign and vote for a fellow Union brother to represent working families."
Nolan is seeking the DFL endorsement, along with former state Sen. Tarryl Clark and Duluth City Council Member Jeff Anderson. While Nolan has said he'll abide by the party's endorsement process, Clark and Anderson haven't, so it's likely the candidate will be decided by a primary election in August.
