State Rep. Kurt Bills, a Republican from Rosemount, said this morning that he’ll seek his party’s endorsement to run against U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar in November.

Bills, a first-term legislator, made the announcement in downtown Rosemount. His Senate campaign website says he’s an economics teacher.

He campaigned in Minnesota for Ron Paul’s presidential bid and has made inroads with some state libertarians.

He joins two announced Republican candidates who’ve said they want to seek  the Senate seat: former state Rep. Dan Severson and war veteran Pete Hegseth.
