No walleyes for Dayton; Park Rapids gets opener in 2013
It's a good thing the governor landed the big one last week — the publicly subsidized Vikings stadium — because he was skunked Saturday in the Governor's Fishing Opener on Lake Waconia.
Reports say he did reel in a little sunfish during two stints on the water, from midnight to 2 a.m. and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
But there's always next year: Dayton will get another chance at the wily walleyes next May 10 in Park Rapids for the 2013 opener, the state Tourism Office announced this weekend.
