Tarryl Clark gets National Women’s Political Caucus endorsement
Tarryl Clark made no effort to court DFL delegates at last weekend's 8th District congressional nominating convention, but now she's announcing an endorsement from the National Women’s Political Caucus in her bid to run against Republican U.S. Rep. Chip Cravaack.
Rick Nolan easily won the DFL endorsement in Duluth on Saturday; now he'll face Clark and Jeff Anderson in a primary this summer.
NWPC President Linda Young praised Clark as the group made the endorsement:
"We are confident that Tarryl will support progressive legislation in the U.S. Congress as she has proven to during her time in the State Legislature. It is inspiring to see women with the courage to take on the incredibly polarized and often misogynistic climate that we face Washington DC."
And Clark said:
"I am very proud to have the support of the National Women’s Political Caucus. I will continue to stand with women and their families in this campaign and in Washington, as I have my entire career."
