Walz and Quist schedule Sept. 27 1st District debate
First District Congressman Tim Walz and GOP challenger Allen Quist have scheduled a debate on Sept. 27 in Byron.
Other debates may be added.
The candidates have both accepted invitations for an 11:30 a.m. debate at Somerby Golf Community in Byron, reports the Rochester Post Bulletin.
It's sponsored by Rochester Public Utilities, with the Post-Bulletin, KTTC-TV, Minnesota Public Radio and the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce as partners. Cost to attend is $25 for Chamber members, $35 for others; lunch is included.
