Gov. Dayton adds meetings with Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Reid to D.C. agenda
By Joe Kimball | 12/04/12
Gov. Mark Dayton has added more high-powered meetings to his schedule in Washington today.
He was at the White House for a National Governors Association Executive Committee meeting with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden to discuss the fiscal cliff's impact on states and potential solutions.
Now, his office says in an update:
Later in the afternoon, Governor Dayton is scheduled to meet with U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner, and separately with U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. These meetings are closed press.
So if the fiscal cliff negotiations break wide open late today, and the political mess is resolved, we'll know whom to thank.
