Candidates set for state House special election in St. Cloud area
Todd McKee of Waite Park has filed as an Independence Party candidate to run for the state House District 14A election next month.
With the deadline for filing now past, McKee will be on the Feb. 12 ballot with DFLer Joanne Dorsher and Republican Tama Theis.
They're vying to fill the St. Cloud area seat vacated by Steve Gottwalt, who resigned to take a lobbying job after winning reelection in November.
McKee is a part-time truck driver and owns a blinds cleaning and installation business, the St. Cloud Times reports.
