Three finalists for the president’s job at Riverland Community College in southern Minnesota have been meeting with students at campus forums the past week.

Former Riverland President Terry Leas left last summer to head Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Wash.

Kent Hanson has been the interim president at Riverland, which has campuses in Austin, Albert Lea and Owatonna. Hanson has been named president of the Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College.

The three finalists are:

  • Adenuga Atewologun, vice president, academic affairs and dean of faculty at Prairie State College, in Illinois, since 2009.
  • Mary Davenport, interim vice president, academic and student affairs at Riverland Community College since 2012.
  • Annette Parker, system executive director for the National Center of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Manufacturing and the system director, Workforce Education at the Kentucky Community & Technical College System since 2007.

The MnSCU Board of Trustees may vote March 20 meeting to name the new president, who would start in July.
