Ramsey County parks workers are looking for help in the annual spring cleanup on April 20.

Organized cleanups are scheduled for seven park and off-leash dog areas. Last year, 475 volunteers showed up for the Saturday morning effort.

This year, they say the largest need for volunteers is at Battle Creek Regional Park, the 780-acre park that spans St. Paul and Maplewood.

The seven sites targeted on April 20 are:

  • Battle Creek Regional Park, 2300 Upper Afton Road, Maplewood, 9 11:30 a.m.
  • Beaver Lake County Park, 1050 Edgewater Blvd., St. Paul, 9–11 a.m.
  • Tony Schmidt Regional Park, 3500 Lake Johanna Blvd., Arden Hills 9–11 a.m.
  • Otter Lake Off-Leash Dog Area, 5750 Otter Lake Road, White Bear Township, 8 a.m.–noon
  • Rice Creek Off-Leash Dog Area, 5934 N. Lexington Ave., 9 a.m.–noon
  • Tamarack Nature Center, 5287 Otter Lake Road, White Bear Township, 9 a.m.–noon
  • Woodview Off Leash Dog Area, 501 Larpenteur Ave. W., Roseville, 9 a.m – noon.
