New Obama ad targets 18 states, but not Minnesota

By Eric Black | Published Mon, Jun 30 2008 2:46 pm

Another new Obama for Pres ad begins airing in 18 states (but not Minnesota). This is a small blur of biography (he passed up the big bucks on Wall Street to work as a community organizer), things he has supported legislatively and things he wants to do as president. The unifying theme is work and the dignity that comes with having a job.

    Here's the text:

Announcer: "He worked his way through college and Harvard Law. Turned down big money offers, and helped lift neighborhoods stung by job loss. Fought for workers' rights. He passed a law to move people from welfare to work, slashed the rolls by eighty percent.  Passed tax cuts for workers; health care for kids. As president, he'll end tax breaks for companies that export jobs, reward those that create jobs in America. And never forget the dignity that comes from work."

The states that will see it (presumably of interest to those trying to figure out the list of "battlegrounds") are: Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Virginia.  (Iowa and Wisconsin, yes. Minnesota No.)

Watch it and comment if you feel so moved.
