    Anticipating a crush of attendees at the Democratic National Convention and a shortage of hotel rooms, some Denver residents are renting out their homes at mile-high prices, the Wall Street Journal reports.

    Vice President Dick Cheney will speak at the Republican National Convention on the same night as President Bush, according to representatives for the vice president and John McCain's campaign.
