    News coverage already shining spotlight on St. Paul

    When we snared next month's Republican National Convention for St. Paul (or the Republicans snared us) city officials promised there'd be lots of new attention focused on the area. That's surely happening.

    In suburban Chicago on Sunday, this story in the Daily Herald mentions Landmark Center, the Fitzgerald Theater, Mickey's Diner, the Science Museum (which will be closed to the public during the convention) and other attractions.

    And, unlike the governor's recent gaffe, the story notes that the convention will be in St. Paul, not Minneapolis.
