    Senate candidate Dean Barkley preparing first TV ad

    Word from the Dean Barkley campaign: The once and (he hopes) future senator is filming a television ad, his first in this season of Senate commercial overload.

    It'll be positive, the campaign says. Barkley says he's the only one who can bring sanity to Washington.

    The good news: With the election Tuesday, the ads can't run too long.
