Local best-selling author Vince Flynn — who reportedly is President George Bush's favorite author — signed hundreds of copies of his new political thriller, "Extreme Measures," last night at the Once Upon a Crime bookstore in south Minneapolis.
The small but popular bookstore was overflowing with fans, but thankfully, Flynn said, not too many wanted to discuss politics while getting their books signed. "If they'd wanted to talk about the election, I'd get going and we'd never get through the line," he said.
Flynn did say that he's an "equal-opportunity writer" and won't change the plot lines of his thrillers, which feature a hard-charging hero who takes on the kinds of covert actions that you can imagine President Bush would like.
