    Pawlenty leads today’s D.C. education task force meeting

    Gov. Tim Pawlenty is in Washington today heading a meeting the Strategic Management of Human Capital (SMHC) in Education Task Force Meeting. He's the chairman.

    The group's job is to "share and implement nationwide effective practices to recruit, train, retain and reward top teacher and school administrator talent."

    More information on the meeting is available here http://cpre.wceruw.org/conference/sep08/index.php/ It's being held at Georgetown University.

    Pawlenty will be the 2008-09 chair of the Education Commission of the States.
