Gov. Tim Pawlenty won't be at the official lighting of the Governor’s Residence Christmas Tree Monday night, but first lady Mary Pawlenty will be.
Pawlenty will be in Philadelphia with other governors for a meeting with President-elect Barack Obama.
The tree is a 30-foot balsam fir from the Nemadji State Forest. It will be decorated with 4,000 lights -- another good reason to cruise down Summit during the holidays.
The lighting will be at 6:15 p.m. Monday at the mansion, 1006 Summit Ave., St. Paul.
