    Citizens League property tax report ranks Minnesota communities

    Check out the new Citizens League annual property tax report, http://www.citizensleague.org/what/projects/tax/property/2008-1/ which compares property taxes in metro and Greater Minnesota communities.

    I haven't analyzed it, except to note that property taxes on average value homes in my city are up, but we're rated 82nd of 117 metro cities. Lower rank means lower taxes.

    Carver's No. 1 in the metro; West Lakeland Township is No. 117.

    In Greater Minnesota, Elbow Lake in Grant County is No. 1. “Unorganized” in Cook County is No 226.
