Tom Hanson, commissioner of Minnesota Management and Budget, will also serve as the state’s federal stimulus coordinator, Gov. Tim Pawlenty said today.
Of course, the federal stimulus package hasn't passed, yet, but when (if) it does, Hanson will coordinate efforts among state agencies and boards> Together, they will work to identify the most efficient uses of federal stimulus funds, oversee accountability measures and work with the state’s federal affairs office in Washington in coordination with the state’s congressional delegation.
Hanson has been commissioner of management and budget since December 2006. He was previously deputy chief of staff and director of legislative and cabinet affairs for Pawlenty.
