    Coleman-Franken recount: Lawyer fees update

    We reported earlier this morning about some recent Federal Election Commission filings by both campaigns.

    Now, we’ve been directed to some filings by the state DFL and state Republican parties.

    There, in the GOP filings, are the fees to Norm Coleman’s local lawyer Tony Trimble’s firm. Since November, Trimble’s firm received $189,937 in fees.

    On the DFL side, the law firm of Lockridge Grindal Nauen was paid $61,560. That firm aided the Franken campaign in the recount and represents 61 voters whose absentee ballots have been allegedly wrongly rejected.

    As more filings come in and are perused, we’ll report more.
