    Pawlenty cancels tonight's Harvard speech to oversee state's swine flu response

    Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty canceled a speech he was scheduled to give this evening at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in response to learning of the state’s first probable case of the swine flu.

    “This is a significant concern facing Minnesota, and the governor is directing the state’s response,’’ said Pawlenty’s spokesman Brian McClung.

    The governor had been scheduled to give a speech titled “The Need to Transform America’s Education, Health Care and Energy Systems.’’
