    Gov. Pawlenty goes to Cold Spring for swine flu meeting

    Gov. Tim Pawlenty -- after canceling a Wednesday night speech at Harvard so he could stay on top of the swine flu outbreak -- is meeting this morning with state and local officials in Cold Spring, the site of the first case in Minnesota.

    (Pork producers don't want us to call it swine flu, but rather the  H1N1 virus. That's going to take some getting used to.)

    Just this morning, the case was definitely confirmed as swine ... er, H1N1. It did not require hospitalization.

    Others at the meeting will be Health Commissioner Dr. Sanne Magnan, Rocori Superintendent Scott Staska, Stearns County Public Health Division Director Renee Frauendienst, State Sen. Michelle Fischbach, State Rep. Larry Hosch, Cold Spring Mayor Doug Schmitz, Cold Spring Police Chief Phil Jones, Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner and others.

    Afterward, about 10:45 a.m., the governor and others will hold a press conference at Rocori High School.
